Right after worship on Sunday, we’re going downtown to march in the pride parade! Central and our sibling congregations will be on W. Peachtree, near the Civic Center MARTA station, between Ivan Allen and Pine Street. Sign up here if you’d like to get a text message with the exact location on the day of the parade. If you have been assigned a carpool, please follow the directions Rev. Thomas sent you. If you missed the emails for car pool and tshirts, no worries,we still want you to march!!! We highly recommend that you drive to Lindbergh station(10-15 mins) and then use MARTA to get to Civic Center. Our group is Row C– look for our cool shirts! We anticipate our group beginning to march around 12:45pm, though that is dependent on the two rows ahead of us.
Lindbergh Station: 2424 Piedmont Road. There is free parking deck onsite.
You’re encouraged to ride MARTA from Lindbergh to Civic Center. Note: The parade ends at the Charles Allen Gate of Piedmont Park. It is a .5 mile walk from there back to Midtown station. Alternatively, you can arrange a lyft/uber from the corner of Monroe and 10th or walk to Virginia-Highland Church (.5 mile) for a cheaper ride share.
