Sanctuary

I’m presenting this program as a way of introducing myself to this community, and of forging more and stronger connections within it.” Howard Niblock

Howard Niblock had a 45-year career as a professional oboist and college professor, including the last 37 years at Lawrence University Conservatory of Music in Wisconsin. Upon retiring in 2018, he sold his oboes and turned primarily to composing.

Howard is married to the author and former flutist Ernestine Whitman. After retiring they purchased a condo in Atlanta and now split time between Georgia and Wisconsin. For the past 2 years, when in Atlanta they have regularly attended Central Congregational, and plan to become associate members soon.
