This Sunday, January 21st,  we will begin a four-part Sunday series focused on four aspects of stewardship: time, talents, community impact, and financial support. As a grounding center for this series, we will be using themes from the “Let It Grow” peace path in our children’s storybook bible, The Peace Table.

We will reorient ourselves around these stories as we consider again how we can best give of ourselves to our Central community as well as our community at large.

Often, stewardship season feels awkward and burdened with the unspoken asks to give money, to give of your time, and to give of your gifts. We can only overcome these uncomfortable feelings by naming: yes, this is exactly what we’re asking.

We are asking everyone to take part in this larger-than-ourselves whole that we call Central Congregational UCC.

While this is not a pledge drive, if these next four weeks move you to consider giving more of yourself or your resources, we hope that you will lean into that. After all, alone we can only do a little, but together we can do far more than we may even believe possible. We hope you will join us in person as we journey together through this series and this season.

Each Sunday, a Central member will reflect on stewardship during the 11 AM worship service. And, throughout the month, our Stewardship Board will share many ways that you can continue supporting the ministries of Central.
