Endowment Grant Recipients
We are pleased to announce the recipients of this year’s Endowment grants!
This year’s recipients include 11 organizations in the Atlanta-metro area, South Georgia, and El Salvador!
Atlanta Transit Angels / Grannies Respond – providing welcome to asylum seekers traveling by bus through Atlanta en route to designated immigration processing centers
Decatur Cooperative Ministry (Hagar House) – prevention and alleviation of homelessness through an emergency shelter program, a transitional housing program, and a homelessness prevention program for families
The Decatur-Area Emergency Assistance Ministry – assists the local community with utility and prescription bills and a food pantry
El Refugio Ministry – assists immigrants at Stewart Detention Center and their loved ones through hospitality, visitation, support, and advocacy; offers a hospitality house in Lumpkin
The Harvest Ministries – building homes, renovating churches, and funding education for students in El Salvador
Hope thru Soap – mobile outreach for those experiencing homelessness in Metro Atlanta, providing hot showers, haircuts, hygiene, food and clothing, counseling services, transportation assistance and education assistance
Possum Trot Ministries / New Hope House – support and hospitality for Georgia’s death row prisoners and their families
Students to Scholars – tutoring and meals for K-12 students in the English Avenue and Vine City neighborhoods of northwest Atlanta
Toco Hills Community Alliance – providing assistance to Northeast Atlanta/North Central Dekalb area communities, including food, hygiene supplies, and clothing for families and individuals in need, and meals for our unhoused neighbors
The Urban Clinic of Atlanta – a free clinic in Fulton County providing primary care to medically underserved adults in Metro Atlanta, including a patient transportation assistance program
Villa International – provides a welcoming home for international guests and healthcare professionals
